I really enjoyed this book.
Though Ashlyn is clueless for a good percentage of the book on what a scumbag Logan as, she’s still fiercely loyal, independent, caring, and optimistic. She may be attracted to Colt, but she doesn’t ever act on it before her “relationship” ends. I put “relationship” because it’s one-sided at the point where Colt comes into the picture. Unfortunately, for him, Logan is his friend, and he finds himself privy to just how much of a scumbag Logan is to his girlfriend, Ash.
When Colt sees Ash for the first time, he doesn’t know that she’s Logan’s girlfriend. He just knows that he’s attracted to her and thinks she might be attracted to him too. When he realizes that Ash is Logan’s girlfriend, he makes his opinions known to Logan on how much of a scumbag he is and that he should be treating his loyal, sweet, and kind girl better. In the meantime, he can’t seem to stay away from her. He feels drawn to her. He notices things, he compliments her, he races to help her when she needs help, and he opens up to her.
As for Logan, I think Logan is a scumbag. He’s fake and disloyal and a sh*t stirrer. He tries to come between Colt and Ash later on in the book but all he ends up with is probably a couple of black eyes and a bloody nose. Which is totally deserved.
The book gets a ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 out of 5 on the spicy scale. Colt and Ash have so much chemistry.
