King of Ruin by Sasha Leone & Jade Rowe (⭐️⭐️⭐️)

EEEEP! Natalya & Andrei have chemistry to spare! From the first moment they meet their chemistry is sizzling. There is so much spice in this book. 🥵🥵

Natalya is, well, her character is so stubborn. She is insecure and gullible, which leads to the big conflict at the end of the book. She does step up to fix the problem that she made. She doesn't ask questions of Alexei when she hears things and starts to feel insecure. There is honestly no good communication between the two main characters. Natalya wants to be independent and then when the option is taken away from her, she just kind of rolls over and doesn't really fight back at all. It was almost like she forgot all about her dreams and ambitions, she became complacent, and honestly I was rolling my eyes at some points. I thought she was going to be the strong, stubborn, independent, take no shit, character but that's not who I got for most of the book. That being said, it wasn't a bad book and she's not a bad character. They way she was portrayed just was not for me.

Alexei is possessive from the start. He decides that Natalya is his from the moment they have, admittedly spicy sex in his office, then she disappears and he spends days looking for her, and same thing happens again they're intimate and she runs off. He wants to control her and mold her into the perfect woman for him. He does that be isolating her from everything and everybody. I was honestly surprised that the first time they met he nonchalantly say,"I'm the Pakhan, the leader of the Russian Mafia." I thought there would be more build up to that, and there was not. He told her as soon as they met.

The spice in this book was so good! I enjoyed their chemistry more than anything. When they came together, they were perfect for each other, perfect in the way that they interacted in those moments.
